During Ohio's winters, its sometimes hard to go out and spend an extended time outdoors. While indoors, you can spend time planning trips for the summer! This summer of 2016, my dad and I have an adventure plan to canoe, hike, and bike from Canal Fulton to Coshocton, which is roughly 70 miles. We named this trip IKE (hike, bike) and hope we can carry it out! This plan is not set in stone, nor do we know of anyone that has gone on this route the way we plan to, but we have a rough idea on what we want to do. The adventure is going to be initiating and carrying this out and having fun all along the way!
Our plan is to hike and bike to Zoar, OH and from there pick up a canoe. After canoeing, we plan to continue to bike and hike along the Ohio Erie trail. We haven't decided how long we want this trip to take, being 1 overnight, or 2 overnight stays along the trail. Naturally, safety is a concern, so we will always choose the safest options at all times. To carry this out safe;y, we will bring all the necessary equipment and take all the measures to ensure a safe trip, like frequently checking in and letting someone know our plans. I'm excited to go on this trip!
